Will my case be dismissed?

What are the chances that my case will get thrown out?

– MJC, Texas

Answer:

Judges don’t throw out cases. Very occasionally a judge will dismiss a case if there are problems with the arrest. Cases are not thrown out for lack of evidence or because the victim wants the case dismissed. Prosecutors will sometimes dismiss a case, but only rarely. An experienced attorney can help getting a case dismissed or getting a not guilty at trial.
