Probation Violation

If I turn myself in on a probation violation, how much time will I serve?

– DJ, Texas

Answer:

How much time you serve on a probation violation depends on who your judge is, what you’re on probation for and who your attorney is. If you’re on probation for a felony you could be looking at getting years in prison. In my 20 years of experience, I have been able to reduce the length of time my clients are looking at receiving. I have gotten many clients reinstated on probation. It’s important for your lawyer to explain your story and talk for you. Representing yourself is never a good idea.
