Our founding attorney, Richard Jones, an ACDLA board member is pleased to announce that on July 29, 2013, he had the honor of unveiling the portrait of former County Court at Law Judge Wilfred Aguilar. Judge Aguilar served as judge of the court for 15 years. After the unveiling, the portrait was hung in the current County Court at Law #5.
Austin criminal defense attorney Richard Jones is dedicated to upholding the rights of his clients who live in the Greater Austin area. He is proud to be a board member of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, otherwise known as the ACDLA. The ACDLA is a non-profit, professional organization comprised of attorneys in the Central Texas area who represent the criminally accused.
While the ACDLA’s primary purpose is to educate local attorneys, the ACDLA provides various educational opportunities to its members, all of which focus on protecting the individual rights guaranteed under the Texas and United States Constitutions, thereby preserving the justice system’s commitment to those rights, and promoting competent and ethical legal representation of those who have been accused of crimes.
Membership in the ACDLA is open to those who are members of the State Bar of Texas and who engage in representing individuals and organizations that have been accused of committing crimes.
As an Austin criminal defense lawyer who has been defending the criminally accused since 1992, attorney Richard Jones takes great pleasure in supporting the ACDLA’s efforts to promote the safeguarding of our citizen’s rights and mitigating the abuses and injustices that can occur in our criminal justice system.
Attorney Jones is a board member of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, he is a member of the Hays County Bar Association, the Williamson County Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and he is a proud member of the National College of DUI Defense. He is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court, for the Western District of Texas (federal court).
