What am I looking at on my 4th DWI?

- SJ, Texas

Answer:

You're looking at anywhere from 2 to 10 years or 2 to 20 years. If your last DWI was punished as a 3rd degree then it's 2 to 20. If you were able to get your last one reduced to a misdemeanor then you're looking at 2 to 10 years. Factors that will effect your case is long ago the last DWI took place. The longer ago that it occurred the more likely you are to receive a chance at probation. The more recent it was, the less likely you are to be offered probation. I was recently able to get probation for one of my clients despite the fact that he had completed felony probation less than 2 years before he was charged with 4th DWI.
