I think I violated my probation, what should I do?

- JT, Texas

If you think you violated your probation, you need an attorney now. When someone is accused of violating their probation the judge can issue a warrant or a summons. A summons is like a ticket where you promise to appear in court. A warrant means you have to post a bond or go to jail. I have been very successful in getting a judge to issue summonses instead of warrants. Once you’re arrested it’s very hard to get out of jail until your case is finished. You may not get a hearing for up to three weeks. If you’re out of jail on a summons, you can keep your job and home. You can also try to fix what you messed up on while on probation. If you think you’ve violated a condition of probation, CALL me now. Don’t go to jail when you don’t have to.
