Credit card or debit card abuse is the use of someone else's credit card or debit without the owner's permission. A person does have to be the person who stole the card or found the card to be charged with this offense.
A person only has to use the card without the owner's permission to be charged. It is also an offense if the person has stolen the card but not used the card, uses an expired card they know to be expired or buys a credit card they know to be stolen.
Credit card abuse is a state jail felony punishable by six months to two years in the state jail.
